Music - Audio - Surround
Music video channels such as MTV,
VH1,\ CMT and many others are
included in all packages. DISH Network
satellite Premium packages have over
24 audio-only channels called "DISH
Music". These are commercial-free
digital audio broadcasts. On May 2004,
DISH Network announced a new offer
that would give premium package
subscribers all 60 music channels PLUS
Sirius satellite radio music channels at
no extra charge. Ordinarily, the satellite
radio option is optional for non-premium
subscribers. Dish Network's audio
broadcasts are 100% digital, which
means CD-quality sound. The digital
audio broadcasts are completely
compatible with home-theater surround-
sound systems that use "Dolby Digital"
sound format.

Music video channels such as MTV, VH1,
CMT and many others are included in all
DirecTV's packages. They also boast
over 30 audio-only channels called "Music
Choice". These are commercial-free
digital music channels. The digital audio
broadcasts are completely compatible
with home-theater surround-sound
systems that use "Dolby Digital" sound
format. Subscribers to DirecTV also
become eligable for FREE monthly music
specials that include live concerts. These
are exclusive benefits.

satellite Internet access. The 'Direcway'
service involves the use of no phone
lines. Broadband satellite internet
involves a 2-way satellite system which
connects to the internet through the
satellite dish. This is especially handy
in rural locations where cable's
infrastructure is not available. The
package includes 5 free email addresses
as standard. Direcway broadband
Internet can be ordered by itself or as
part of a bundle with Satellite TV from
DirecTV.
